If Blades of Glory wasn't enough to fulfill your thirst for mediocre comedies based on mediocre "sports", then you're in luck because it's nerdier and cornier brother Balls of Fury is here to amaze you with just how bored you must be to want to watch this in the first place!
If spoofs on dodgeball, ice skating, and NASCAR aren't enough for you then maybe a movie based on a life or death ping pong tournament will suit your fancy. Randy Daytona was the premier youth ping-pong phenomena until one day he blew a game that not only ended his career but ended the life of his father who'd placed a bet with the Chinese ping-pong underground that he couldn't pay. Nineteen years later Randy has the opportunity for redemption and revenge when the FBI comes to him for a secret covert mission. They hope to get him back into shape that he may be invited to a private competition hosted by the man that had his father killed, Feng (Christopher Walken).
I'll admit, Balls of Fury has a few laughs, mainly in the first 30 minutes of the film, but once Randy is invited to Feng's tournament and Christopher Walken makes his first appearance as the evil villain the whole flimsy plot, which was only mildly amusing, quickly becomes only extremely stupid. The film is about as entertaining as Blades of Glory but has a slight upper hand with the addition of the lovely Maggie Q, who barely made this film worth watching. In the end, it’s about as funny as the under stellar ice capades and possibly a little more stupid.

No mean to be a douche, but this didn't bring out a laugh out of me at all, except for some of Walken's lines.
@CMrok93 - I agree it wasn't that funny of a film, but I didn't give it a lower score because I've seen much worse.
