I didn't know this was a remake, but it's not surprising. I would assume it's better. The Asian horror films are usually a lot creepier. Connelly's the only saving grace of this film, that's why I gave it a few points, other than that I was just bored and sorely annoyed. I'd rather have the predictable scares than this films false lead ins.

I've seen the original and it was , of course, much better! .. but I thought the remake was pretty decent, mostly because of Jennifer Connelly's performance and the grim, creepy atmosphere. I gave it a 6!
The Ring is one of my favorite horror flicks as well, together with [Rec], The Descent and The Exorcist! Good review, though I disagree :)
